Mrs. Charlotte D. Sims, age 82, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the Greeneville Community East Hospital.
Mrs. Sims was born July 3, 1943, in Jonesborough, Tennessee, to the late Carl Jones, Sr. and Sudie Deyton Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Ashley Sims, two brothers, Carl Jones, Jr. and Rex Jones.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church of Johnson City.
Mrs. Sims loved traveling to the Smokey Mountains, dairy farming with her husband and spending time on a sailboat at Watauga Lake. She adored and loved her only grandson, Jacob.
Survivors include a daughter, Christy Osborne (David), Jonesborough; grandson, Jacob Osborne of the home; one sister, Catherine Jeffers, Jonesborough; special niece, Donna Davis (Tim), Jonesborough; and several other nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Lacy officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 PM on Sunday prior to the service. Graveside service will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Osborne, Jason Osborne, Zach Davis, Adam Davis, Roger Crain, and Jacob Osborne.
