Mrs. Osie Thompson Wood, age 76, Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026, at her residence.

Mrs. Wood was born in Washington County, Tennessee, on August 25, 1949, to the late Robert Lewis & Hazel Edith Rhodes Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Doug Wood, two brothers and one sister.

She was a member of The Lamp Post Pentecostal Church, where she was a prophetess. She taught music lessons to people in the church. She enjoyed cooking and giving to others.
Survivors include two daughters, Lynn Crawford (Eric), and Carrie Maness (Danny), all of Jonesborough; one son, James Wood, Surgoinsville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Takoda Crawford, Jacob Crawford, Samuel Maness and Collin Wood; two sisters, Brenda Clay and Nancy Freeman; and several nephews and nieces.

Mrs. Wood requested that there be no formal services.
