Mary Beth Saylor Burleson, age 71, Elizabethton, died Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.

Beth was born in Jonesborough on January 29, 1954, to the late John and Merle Scott Saylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Burleson, sisters, Kaye Saylor, Patty Saylor, and a brother John Saylor.

She was a member of the Jonesborough Presbyterian Church.

Beth worked at Green Valley in Greenville for several years and switched to Dawn of Hope in Johnson City where she retired.

Survivors include a brother, Frank Saylor; nephews, John (Earlene) Saylor, and Rock Saylor; nieces, Sarah (Michael) Bates, Johnnie Sue (Craig) Hawley and Leigh Anne (Jes) Hieronymus; great-niece, Isabel (Jon Michael) Hawley-Lopez; great-nephews Gabe (Brittinee) Hawley, Isaac (Whitney) Bates, Israel Bates, Ian Bates, Levi Saylor, Jack Saylor, and Ben Saylor; and one great-great nephew, Luca Hawley.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the hospice nurses at Sycamore Shoals for their excellent care of Beth.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Diana Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Wednesday prior to the service. Graveside services will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Saylor, Frank Saylor, Michael Bates, Jes Hieronymus, and Craig Hawley.
