Mr. Ross James McGee, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at James H. Quillen Medical Center.

Ross was born on February 28, 1947, to the late James and Mollie Gouge McGee, in Washington County.

Ross proudly served his country in the United States Army after graduating from Jonesborough High School. Once he completed his military service, he spent his final years until retirement working security. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He was a member of New Victory Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, Ross was preceded in death by his son, Brian Ross McGee.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Gaynell Browning McGee; brother, Jack Wayne McGee (Rose); special niece, Jennifer Joyner; several other great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be at 6:00 PM, Friday, July 25, 2025, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Cathy Downs officiating and the Veterans Honor Guard of the Tri-Cities providing honors. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, prior to the service.

Graveside Services will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Mt. Wesley Cemetery.
