Mrs. Mary Geneva Huffine Krell, age 81, Huntsville, Alabama, formerly of Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at her residence.

Mrs. Krell was born September 22, 1943, in Washington County, Tennessee, to the late Charles Huffine, Jr. & Bernice Leach Huffine. She is preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Allen Krell and sister, Dorothy Ann Huffine Keys.

She was an active member of Antioch Baptist Church, singing in choir and serving with Awanas and numerous committees.

Mrs. Krell was an educator for 30 years, teaching at East Ridge Middle School in Morristown, Tennessee.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Penny Krell and Anthony and Heather Krell; by grandchildren, Ashlyn Krell, Daniel Krell, and Kelly Tackett and her husband Jonathan; by great-grandchild Sophia Tackett; brother-in-laws David Keys and Larry Krell; sister-in-laws Alice Harrell, Mary Brown and her husband, John; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 PM Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Pete Tackett officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Sunday prior to the service.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Monday, July 28, 2025, at Mountain Home National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Krell, Jonathan Tackett, Marty Keys, Andrew Keys, Tommy Johnson, T Johnson, Tell Johnson, and Ty Johnson.
