Nancy-Lou Hunt

Nancy-Lou passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Brookdale Senior Living Center in Johnson City, Tennessee, at the age of 97.

Nancy-Lou was born on December 5, 1927, to the late Walter & Dorothy Wilson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick J. Hunt, her brother, Walter C. Wilson, Jr. (Marilyn), and her brother-in-law, William O. Hunt (Virginia).

She was raised in Detroit, Michigan. After graduating from Philadelphia Bible College, she returned to Michigan and married her sweetheart Fred Hunt. They were blessed with 52 years of marriage, and two sons, while living in Birmingham, Michigan. Her later years in Michigan were spent living at Fox Run in Novi, before relocating to Tennessee to be with family in 2017.

She is remembered for her love of family, her love and care for others, but most of all for her devotion to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She loved to study God’s Word and to share her faith in Christ with everyone she met. She encouraged others to rejoice in the Lord always (Philippians 4:4).

Nancy-Lou is survived by her sons, Howard Hunt (Lori) and John Hunt, all of Johnson City; grandchildren, Daniel Hunt, of Gray, Elizabeth Coward (Jon) of Jonesborough, and Hannah Willis (Justin) of Knoxville; great-grandchildren Elise, Isaac, Elijah, Jack, Matthew, David, Abigail, Gabriella, Levi, Connor, and Callie; nieces and nephew, Julie Bylski (Douglas), James Wilson (Terri), Nancy Pierce (Daniel) and Carol Hunt.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Brookdale Senior Living for their excellent, loving care for her over the past years.

Entombment will be in Rochester Hills, Michigan.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. We hated to see her leave-but her beloved Savior called her home. In thy presence is fullness of joy, and at thy right hand are pleasures forever more! He is coming. I believe we will all be going home soon. Let us be without spot or wrinkle! Appreciate notice about any MI memorial event!
