Mrs. Sarah R. Norton, age 81, Jonesborough, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Johnson City Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mrs. Norton was born October 24, 1943, in Washington Co TN to the late W.C. (Bill) & Betty South Bradley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Police Norton, a brother Ernest Bradley, a sister Shirley Duncan & husband Norman Duncan, and brother-in-law Billy Henley.
She was a graduate of Washington College Academy. She was a former employee of Lerner’s and retired from Walmart in Greeneville.
Survivors include her sister, Norma Jean Henley, brothers, John Bradley (Patricia) Jonesborough, Gary Bradley (Lisa), Limestone, and many loved nephews and nieces.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Tabitha Harrison of Silver Angels for assisting with household chores, shopping, etc during Sarah’s latter years. Another special thank you to the JCMC ICU 2800 wing for their care during Sarah’s last days.
Friends may come by Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM Friday, July 11, 2025, to sign the register.
Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 AM Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Mountain View Cemetery 1790 Seaton Rd. Chuckey, TN with Pastor Marty Murr officiating.
The pallbearers will be nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Second Harvest Food Bank, 1020 Jericho Dr., Kingsport, TN 37663.

It was a pleasure and a honor to have known Ms. Sarah! She was one of the first people at Bethel to come welcome me to my new job in 2021. She made it a point to come by to see me and when she didn't feel up to the walking she would call me. I feel blessed to have known Sarah. My heart goes out to you, the family, and I will grieve her loss with you.
