After 97 years of living, Mildred Louise Lovegrove, Jonesborough, was reunited with her family in heaven on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Four Oaks Healthcare Center.
Miss Lovegrove was born in Washington County, TN daughter of the late Virgil and Lela Osbourne Lovegrove. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Frances Lovegrove Bond, Lenna Mae Lovegrove, and brother James Ross Lovegrove.
Miss Lovegrove was a member of McCarty United Methodist Church.
Mildred was a Nanny and a caregiver for many family members. She was employed by the Erwin, TN Pottery as a painter of dishes in her 20’s. She was a seamstress who sewed for herself and others. Her wonderful talent as a cook and baker was enjoyed by many. She enjoyed reading her Bible daily. Her door was always open for family and friends. She enjoyed flowers of all kinds, both planted and fresh cut. Her personal appearance was very important to her in that she liked getting her hair done, putting on her makeup, having her nails polished, and dressing in her favorite attire and accessories.
Survivors include her niece, Margaret Bond Brummett, Gray; nephew, Wilbur Bond Jr. (Sharen), Clemmons NC; nephew, Richard Lovegrove, Telford; niece, Renee Lovegrove Thompson (Scott), Limestone; great-nieces, Patty Couch White, Jonesborough, Dawn Henley DeLoach, Gray, Amber Hopson, Johnson City, Emily Thompson, Roanoke, VA, and Megan Brummett, Gray; great-nephews, Scott Crain, Limestone., Eric Henley, Gray, Emil and Spence Thompson, Limestone; and several great, great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Miss Lovegrove will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Cook officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the 2:00 service. Graveside service will follow at McCarty Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nieces and nephews.

|I wanted say how sorry I am for y’alls loss. I always knew her
as Aunt Mildred, she had a smile that would light up a room.
Loved seeing her at the beauty shop when Dickie would bring
her there and then off to the grocery store. It showed what a
close family they had. Heaven has gotten a beautiful Angle!|
|My sympathy to the family on the passing of Miss
Mildred. She lived with and cared for my mother,
Kate Booth, for quite sometime before mom passed
away. Mildred was like family - we all dearly
loved her. She had a loving and caring heart. She
will be missed.|
