Mr. Willard “Henry” Willis, age 74, Unicoi, formerly of Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2026, at his residence.
Mr. Willis was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, on February 27, 1952, to the late John David & Pearl Edwards Willis. He was preceded in death by a brother, David and a sister, Brenda.
He was a member of New Victory Baptist Church and attended First Baptist Church of Jonesborough.
Mr. Willis retired from the Johnson City Power Board after 29 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking and loved being “Popsie” to Kelby, Noah, Kjay and Violet.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane McNalley Willis, Unicoi; children, Aaron Wallace, Unicoi and Ashley Ponce and husband Manuel, Erwin; grandchildren, Kendra Wallace, Katelyn Wallace, Kelsey Wallace, Peyton Wallace, all of Unicoi, Noah Ponce and Briley Ponce, both of Erwin; great grandchildren, Kelby, Kjay and Violet; brother, Ernest Willis; sisters, Linda Hammonds and Lisa Willis; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. Lester Morelock officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday prior to the service.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
