Mr. Kenneth “Ken” Riddle, age 68, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his family.
Mr. Riddle was born in Kingsport, Tennessee on February 23, 1958, to the late Raymond & Pauline Lewis Riddle. He was also preceded in death by a son, Tyler Riddle.
He was a member of Blountville Christian Church.
Mr. Riddle was a member of the Canton-St. Paul and Pacific Railway Steam Club in Canton, Georgia. He was also a member of the Roan Mountain Masonic Lodge #566.
He retired from Yates Industries and had worked for New Georgia Railroad on a project to rebuild Steam Locomotive #290 and ran excursions. He was also a band director with various high schools as well as a very talented musician.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Myers Riddle, Elizabethton; son, Clint Riddle, Kingsport; sister-in-law, Gail Myers, Elizabethton; several cousins and a host of friends including his special friends, Keith Holley, Richard Brown, David Poteat, Cody Cagle, and members of “Tuba Five”.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Monte Vista Burial Park, 1900 E. Oakland Ave. Johnson City, Tennessee 37601, with Minister Justin Daniel officiating. Family and friends are requested to meet at Monte Vista at 9:50 AM on Wednesday.
