Brenda Kaye Shelton Smith, August 5, 1946 �" September 15, 2026
Brenda was born in Johnson City, Tennessee and is a 1964 graduate of Bluff City High School. She moved to Summerville, South Carolina in 1970, where she lived for over 25 years before coming back home to the Smokey Mountains, in Sevierville, Tennessee, in 1996.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Smith; daughter, Cynthia Cross; grandson, Nate Griph; sisters, Paula Dunn, Gequetta Cates; parents, Wanda and Everett Shelton.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Miles; son, Chad Cross (Tammy); seven grandchildren, Kevin Griph (Chasea), Whitney Griph, Vanessa Stanton (Brett); Nick Griph (Kendra), Chad Cross II (Araceli), Brittney Rafus (Devin), and Jessica Jackson (Josh); along with eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.
