Mrs. Sally Arney, age 66, Johnson City, passed away at her home on Thursday, August 13, 2026, after an eleven-year battle with dementia. She was surrounded by her loved ones.
Sally was born November 25, 1959, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Hal and Grace Hicks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rita Bradley, sister-in-law, Patricia Maupin, brother-in-law, Danny Quinn, and son-in-law, Damon Owens.
She loved spending time with family, animals, and dancing.
She is survived by her devoted partner of 43 years and husband of 33 years, Terry L. Arney, Johnson City; stepdaughter, Tammy Owens; stepson, Terry L. Arney II; daughter-in-law, Vanessa Arney; five sisters, Rhonda Dykes, Katie Donnells, Connie Hicks, Cindy Hicks, and Susie Branson; six grandkids, Trevor Thomas, Alexis Kelley, Taylor Owens, Tessa Arney, Vaden Arney, and Hyland Arney; two nieces, three nephews and great nieces.
Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Chaplain Randall Holmes officiating.
