Mr. James “Larry” Bowser, age 80, of Gray, passed away at Lakebridge on Thursday, August 6, 2026.
He was born on February 12, 1946, to the late Thomas M. and Dorothy Hammitt Bowser, in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Larry was a proud United States Army Veteran. He retired from Eastman Chemical Company and was an avid Tennessee Vols Fan. Larry was a member of Gray Church of God.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brothers, Tommy and Bobby Bowser.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Surcey Bowser and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:30 PM, Monday, August 10, 2026, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM with Rev. W. Randall Holmes officiating. A Graveside will follow at Gray Cemetery.
