Mrs. Bobbie Luculla Bishop Potter, age 81, Kingsport, passed away Monday, July 20, 2026.
Mrs. Potter was born October 11, 1944, in Kingsport, Tennessee to the late Jo Dannelly and Fred Thomas. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Bishop and a son, Barry Bishop.
Bobbie is survived by her husband of fifteen years, Sam Potter, Kingsport; one daughter, Kim Pierce and husband Loren; one granddaughter, Erika Pierce; step-sons; Todd Potter (Wendy), Bradd Potter (Vonda), Brian Potter (Jackie), and Clay Potter (Missy); nine step-grandchildren, Cassity Jenkins, Shelby Medlin, Miles Potter, Alli Potter, Brody Potter, Lauren Potter, Maggie Day, Lexie Potter, and Emma Potter; great-grandchildren, Rowan Jenkins, Rois Jenkins, Rhys Jenkins, Ryland Potter, Wrenley Potter, Millie Medlin, Samuel Potter III and Hazel Potter.
She worked for several years as a greeter and cashier at Walmart. She loved talking and visiting with people, as they came into the store. Bobbie never had anything negative to say about anyone. She always was happy and had a smile on her face. Bobbie loved dogs. Anytime she was around a dog it was sure to be on her lap.
Bobbie will be greatly missed by Sam. They enjoyed watching movies and spending time together.
Services will be under the direction of Dr. Phil Hoskins and Dr. Tony Crisp. Music will be provided by the Potter Brothers.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Church On The Way, 420 Riverside Park Lane, Weber City, Virginia. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Monday, July 27, 2026, at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 800 Truxton Dr. Kingsport, Tennessee.
Pallbearers will be Loren Pierce, Todd Potter, Bradd Potter, Brian Potter, Clay Potter, Miles Potter and Brody Potter. Honorary pallbearers will be Noel Fuller, Dub Potter, Roger Bevins, Sam Culbertson, Harry Wood, John Brooks, Allen Castle, Don Smith, Bob Kalonick, Sam Jones, and All the Gideons of Kingsport East and West Camps.
