Katheryn “Kay’ Street, age 90, Jonesborough, left this earth with a song in her heart to meet the Lord and a choir of angels on, Friday, April 17, 2026.

Kay loved music and loved to sing anywhere, at any time. She grew up in Sulphur Springs and attended Sulphur Springs Methodist Church for many years. She had become a faithful member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, in Jonesborough in 2025. Kay was a member of the Never Alone Singers and a former member of the church choir. She was a former employee of North Electric, Gray Coin Laundry, and The Dollhouse.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray & Kate Kennerly; daughter, Mary Lou Hawk; sister, Jeanne Arwood.

Kay is survived by her son, Parker Street (Robin); grandchildren, Rachel Turnmire (Jeff); Levi Hicks, and Taylor Jackson (Zach); great-grandchildren, Charlie Turnmire, Leo Hicks, and Mabel Hicks.

Funeral services will be conducted 5:00 PM, Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Parker Street, Pastor Perry Cleek, Minister Bob Huddleston and Pastor Scott Brady officiating. The church will be open at 4:30 PM. Music and special thoughts by Ramona Bird. Graveside services will follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Zach Jackson, David Baines, Ben Carder, Houston Carder, Dailey Carder, Levi Hicks, and Jeff Turnmire.

Memorial donations may be made to Bethel Housing, 1113 Persimmon Ridge Rd. Jonesborough, TN 37659 or Jonesborough Senior Center “My Ride” Program, 307 E. Main Street, Jonesborough, TN 37659.
