Mrs. Jane Miller Conley, age 91, Johnson City, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 14, 2026. Jane was born January 15, 1935, in Amagansett, New York to the late Nathan Fillmore Miller & Jessie Lester Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Marshall Conley, Sr. and three siblings, Agnes Daniels, Phyllis Adams, and infant, James Miller.

Jane was married to John for 69 years. They had five children: John Conley, Jr. and wife Sandra, Cheryl Conley Sullivan and husband Dan, Patty Conley Curran and husband Larry, Linda Conley Becker and husband Tim, and James Conley. Jane was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Jane was a long-time active member of Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church and served as a Sunday School teacher for over 30 years, a UMYF youth counselor, and several other committees. She also coordinated the kitchen for the regional Emmaus Walk for numerous years.

Jane was active in multiple Johnson City civic organizations for many years as well. She was instrumental in the founding and operation of the Hospital Guest House and served on the Board in its entirety. Jane served on the local board of the March of Dimes for over 25 years. She held numerous offices, including President, of the Johnson City Woman’s Club. In addition, she was president of the Garden Club, a leader for the Youth Garden Club, Welcome Wagon-Newcomers Club, a Girl Scout Leader and was a certified Citizen on Patrol.

Jane graduated from The State University Teachers College of New York in 1956 with a bachelor’s degree in teaching. Jane was a licensed Real Estate agent and office manager which allowed her to work with her husband.

Her other interests included the Bridge Club, Hand and Foot card club, the Birthday Club, and the “Do Nothing” Club.

In honor of Jane’s memory, the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:30 PM, Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home in Jonesborough. A celebration of life service will be held after visitation. Minister Ben Cole will be officiating.
