Mr. Floyd Briggs, Jr. age 92, Jonesborough, passed away in his sleep, on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Center on Aging.
Mr. Briggs was born on October 9, 1933, in Greene County, to the late Floyd Briggs, Sr. and Bonnie Mae Rader Briggs.
He was a United States Navy Veteran.
Mr. Briggs retired from the Glass Plant in Church Hill, Tennessee after 40 plus years of service. He loved bird hunting.
Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Jennie Ruth Keys Briggs, Jonesborough; two sisters, Marjorie and Shirley; two brothers, Gary and Dwight; brother-in-law, David Keys (that was his caregiver for several years); and several nephews and nieces.
Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Washington County Memory Gardens with Pastor Jeremy Dykes officiating.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Briggs, Lynn Keys, Rick Keys, Andrew Keys, T. Johnson, Tell Johnson and Ty Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Keys and Mike Adkins.
