Mr. Roy H. Alexander, age 84, passed away unexpectedly at his home, on Monday, January 26, 2026.

He was born on June 25, 1941, in Washington County, Tennessee to the late Fred and Dorothy Alexander, both of Chuckey, Tennessee. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Hartman and her husband, Bill of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; brother, James Alexander of Jonesborough.

During his working years, Roy drove for Clyce Distributing in Johnson City, Tennessee. After relocating to Florida, he worked in security and later retired from Dania Jai Alai in Dania Beach. He eventually returned back to the Tri-Cities area to be closer to his family. Roy’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, being outdoors, observing the weather, and watching his huge television. Above all, he cherished time with his grandchildren and great-granddaughters.

Roy is survived by his children, Rick Alexander of Elizabethton, and Kelly Inancsi and husband, David of Johnson City; grandchildren, Austin Inancsi and wife, Savannah of Johnson City, Haley Inancsi of Gainesville, Florida, and Hunter Inancsi of Johnson City; great-granddaughters, Liberty Dugger and Sattler Inancsi; sisters, Barbara Broyles and husband, Howard of Chuckey and Judy Blackburn and husband, Joe of Bristol; and several nieces and nephews.

In honoring Roy’s wishes there will be no formal service.
