Mr. Harold Fender, age 85, Jonesborough, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at his residence.
Mr. Fender was born in Burnsville, NC, on August 25, 1940, to the late Roy & Foy Higgins Fender. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Tarlton Fender, a son, David Fender, daughter, Teresa Reifsnyder, brothers, Wayne Fender and Maynard Fender, grandsons, Charles David Bowling and Daniel Ray Jennings, and son-in-law, Gary Tipton.
Survivors include his daughters, Christine Tipton, Pamela Norton (Jeff), Earlene Fender, and Marie Richey (Clifford); grandchildren, Dwayne Tipton, Jeff Tipton, Lacy Jane Wales, Stephanie Holder, David Jordan Fender, Misty Hanson and Austin Lee Bowling; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother, Carroll Fender (Bonnie); sister, Louise Higgins; son-in-law, Charles Reifsynder, and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Laws and Rev. Wayne Rice officiating. Music will be provided by the Saults family. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Saturday prior to the service.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Silvers Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
