Mrs. Sharon Percell Hayes, age 69, Telford, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Greeneville Community Hospital East.

Mrs. Hayes was born in Washington County, Tennessee on May 2, 1956, to Effie Kyker, Telford and the late Roy Thomas Percell She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Creasie & Richard Lewis and Minnie & Bill Percell and uncles, Bud Lewis and Bud Percell.

She was a member of Oakland Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday school.

Mrs. Hayes was a devoted wife and longtime Christian. She was a homemaker and enjoyed working crossword puzzles.

In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband of 51 years, Lester Mack Hayes, Telford; three sisters, Becky Richardson, Limestone, Robin McCurry, Telford and Buffie Tipton (Tommy), Virginia Beach, VA; brother, Johnathan Kyker (Tonya), Limestone; sister-in-law, Paula Todd (Bill), Johnson City; step-sisters, Lisa Ford (Ron) and Lori Bennett (Andy), all of Jonesborough; several nephews and nieces, and her dog, Jazmyn.

Memorial services will be conducted 3:00 PM Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Oakland Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 694 Oakland Rd. Telford, TN 37690, with Pastor Sam Smith and Pastor Dale Mitchell officiating.
