
Mr. Henry Martin Walker Jr., age 81, of Jonesborough, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Franklin Woods Community Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born on September 3, 1944, to the late Henry Martin Walker Sr. and Flora Deakins Walker, in Washington County, Tennessee.
Henry was a 1962 graduate and valedictorian of Sulphur Springs High School and 1966 graduate of the University of Tennessee and was a proud UT fan. Henry was the owner and operator of Willow Branch Farm, raising dairy and beef cattle all his life. Over his lifetime, he received many outstanding awards and recognition including senior producer of the year in 2022.
He was a faithful member of Sulphur Springs Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by sisters, Carolyn and Marilyn Walker.
Survivors include twin sister, Helen Scheuerman and her husband, Gary; niece, Natasha Scheuerman and husband, Pete Bryan; nephew, Shane Scheuerman and wife, Christina; great niece, Zaylee Scheuerman; great-nephews, Zachary Scheuerman, Finley Bryan, and Elliot Bryan; Fiancée, Sherry Shadden and her family, Stephanie and Jon Roark, Bo Shadden, Josie and Logan Rivers, and Mattie Roark; special friends, Anthony “Waldo” Church and Bill and Alma Lee Squibb and family; many special cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be at 4:00 PM, Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Sulphur Springs Methodist Church with Pastor Scott Brady officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, prior to the service. Graveside Services will follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Zachary Scheuerman, Bo Shadden, Joe Bowman, Andy Bowman, Frosty Walker, Anthony “Waldo” Church, Bill Brinkley, and Johnny Squibb.
Honorary Pallbearers Bruce Bacon, Robert Winkle, Keith Broyles, Heath Broyles, Shane Scheuerman, and Sulphur Springs Cemetery Trustees.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the members of the Sulphur Springs Rescue Squad, Fred and Tracy, and members of the Sulphur Springs farming community for their help with taking care of Henry and his farm when he was unable.
