
Mary Louise Booker Cravens, of Gray, Tennessee, was born on January 7, 1944, and passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loving family.
Mary Louise had a deep love for people and a lifelong passion for traveling. She spent over 40 years as a bartender and waitress, where her kindness, quick wit, and laughter made her a favorite among friends and customers alike.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Cravens; her parents, Charlie and Roxie Booker; three sisters, Rena Faye Booker, Louella Lee Williams, and Emma Jayne Payne; and one brother, William Jason Booker.
Mary Louise is survived by her brother, David Booker, and his wife, Betty; her children, Samuel Glen Booker, Doug Mair and his wife, Jackie Mair, James Rhymer and his husband, Scotty Rhymer, and Norma “Tootie” Booker. She was the proud grandmother of Brian Hulse; Joshua Rhymer and his partner, Trish; Michael Booker; Joshua Mair; Brinda Booker; Amy Booker; and Tasha Hainey. She was also blessed with twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She will be lovingly remembered by her dear friends Linda Lett and Paula Todd, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Life Care Center of Gray for their compassion, care, and support during Mary Louise’s final journey.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor David Reece officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00-2:00 PM on Wednesday prior to the service. Graveside services will follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Booker, Doug Mair, Brian Hulse, Josh Rhymer, Michael Booker, Scottie Rhymer and Matthew Ledford.
