Mr. Laymon Casey, age 71, Jonesborough, passed away Friday, October 17, 2025, at Johnson City Medical Center.

Mr. Casey was born May 18, 1954, in Erwin, Tennessee to the late Oscar & Irene Love Casey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Gail Casey and a sister, Joan King.

He was a lifetime member of Embreeville Missionary Baptist Church.

Mr. Casey loved to hunt, go hiking in the woods, horseback riding, but most of all, loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He retired from Harris Tarkett.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Brandi & Jeff Trivett, Elizabethton; grandchildren, Arneta and Bobby Trivett; one brother, Ricky Casey, Jonesborough; special friends, Charlie Freeman, Brad Richardson and Billy Joe Blevins; and several nephews and nieces.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hillview Nursing Home in Elizabethton for their loving care.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Monday, October 20, 2025, at Embreeville Cove Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Bryan Brown and Pastor Dean Presnell officiating. Graveside services will follow at Bumpass Cove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Trivett, Bobby Trivett, J.D. Hughes, Mike Phillips and Amos Casey.
