Alyssa Brooke Silvers, age 25, Johnson City, TN passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025, at home after a lengthy illness. She was born December 14, 1999 and was the loving daughter of David & Patricia Tweed Silvers, Jonesborough.
Those left to cherish her memory along with her parents is her “Everything” Francisco Paco Carranza (who loved her and took amazing care of her during their 10 years together), brother and sister-in-law Cody & Summer Silvers, Tiger Creek, her “Mini-me” niece Dixie Silvers, paternal Mamaw Billie Janette Silvers, Jonesborough, maternal Mamaw Patsy McKee, Limestone, paternal great-aunts Sue Silvers, Wanda Shell (Ronnie), paternal great-uncle A. J. Silvers (Brenda), maternal aunts and uncles Donna Payne (Henry), Cynthia Honeycutt (Mike), Vivian Pierce (uncle Wayne), maternal great-aunt Marie Weiss, maternal great-uncle Verlin Bennett, and several cousins and friends (some medical professional friends made during her lifetime illness and treatments/hospital stays).
She was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandparents Austin & Marjorie Riddle Silvers, maternal great-grandparents Eugene & Lena Rustin Ball Tweed, Everett & Leona Phillips McKee, papaw Dennis “Butch” Tweed and wife Shirley Slagle Tweed, mother-in-law Dianna Carranza, maternal aunt Valeria Tweed, special great-aunt Shirley McKee Bennett, special great-aunt Martha Phillips Turner.
Alyssa was always willing to help anyone in need even when she was the one struggling. She was always ready to go when someone would say “let’s go”...and after she started driving, she would be the one to say “let’s go” to Paco, Dixie, family, friends. So it’s no surprise that she answered God’s call when HE said, “Let’s go!”. Her family and friends will surely miss this little gal and her spunk, but are so happy for her that she’s not suffering anymore, not trying to put on a smile for those around so they don’t see how much pain she is in. She finally is able to take a deep breath in and out and not have a coughing episode. We can just picture her running through Heaven hugging Jesus and all her loved ones gone before. She was really missing her papaw Tweed there at the end so we’re sure she found him and had the biggest smile on her face as she was able to wrap her arms around him and give him a hug again after all these years! We will always love and miss this sweet, young lady that God only gave us only for a short while. But in the short time we had her here with us, she touched all of our lives for the better.
May we all ask Jesus in our hearts and lives so that we have the hope of being with our loved ones again one day in Glory!
