Mr. Ronald Ray McDowell, age 77, Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025, at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center.
Mr. McDowell was born March 5, 1948, in Clay City, Illinois to the late Clayson Adrian & Nella Grace Luke McDowell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Marie Krantz McDowell and a granddaughter, Kirsten Alexis McDowell, and several brothers and sisters.
He was a United States Army Veteran.
Survivors include two children, Ronald Lee McDowell and Shelly Marie McDowell, both of Jonesborough; granddaughter, Lila Rose McDowell, Jonesborough; two sisters; and many nephews and nieces.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and entire staff of James H. Quillen VA Medical Center for the wonderful loving care given to our father.
The family will have private services at a later date.

Ronnie is my Cousin on the McDowell side of our family . Prayers for his children and family . I will miss communicating with Ronnie . Rest In Peace Ronnie.
