Mr. Samuel Dean Street, 90, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Abundant Christian Living Community.

Dean was born on June 19, 1935, and was the son of the late Jim and Cleo Hensley Street.

He was a self-employed electrician who worked all around the Tri-Cities area.

Dean was preceded in death by his late wife, Carolyn Street; his daughter, Mary Lou Hawk; brothers, J.D. Street and Ray Street; sisters, Wanda Dykes and Lucille Ayers.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Parker and Robin Street; grandchildren, Rachel Hicks Turnmire (Jeff), Levi Hicks, and Taylor Street Jackson (Zach); great-grandchildren, Charlie, Leo and Mable. Dean is also survived by Kay Kennerly Street, mother to Mary Lou and Parker, and has remained great friends throughout life; sisters, Ruth Wise (David) and Amy Collins. He also leaves behind numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.

There will be a private family burial at Oakland Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery per Dean’s wishes.
