Mr. Ronnie Lynn Vonglis, age 68, Johnson City, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025, at Bristol Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Vonglis was born August 9, 1957, in Johnson City, Tennessee, to the late Clarence & Rosalie Saults Hilton. He was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph Vonglis, and two brothers, Tony Vonglis and Jeff Vonglis.

He was a Transportation Engineer in the trucking industry and drove for Yellow Freight Trucking.

Ronnie was a big Tennessee fan. His favorite saying was “It’s great to be a Tennessee Vol!”

Survivors include his daughter, Kristin Vonglis, Johnson City; brother, Tim Vonglis (Shelia); sister, Bonnie Shoultz (Gerry); family friends, Donald Duck Kade and Brenda Killion; his best friend and dog, Chuckie “BooBoo” and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
