Maynard was an avid and die-hard University of Tennessee football fan who loved everything about Tennessee sports. He enjoyed golfing with his wife and anyone wanting to join him. He was always ready for a long country road drive with hie wife, daughters and grandchildren-you never knew quite where you’d end up. He took great pride in keeping his yard looking the best in the neighborhood and loved coaching little league teams, as well as playing basketball and softball. Maynard cherished gathering with family and friends for competitive games of Rook, which often became epic nights filled with laughter.

He was known for his infectious grin, love of life, and the joy he found in being surrounded by friends and family. Extremely neighborly, calm, and headstrong, Maynard was always happy for others and their successes, content to live a life filled with kindness, connection, and simple pleasures.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Jon Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 PM Thursday prior to the service.
