Mrs. Sondra Story, age 74, passed away at her home on Friday, May 23, 2025.

She was born on October 31, 1950, in Piney Flats, to the late Ralph and Shelia Curtis Cross.

Sondra was an assistant manager for a retail store for many years. After retiring she enjoyed nothing more than watching her grandchildren play sports, spending time with her family, and working in her flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Cross.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Larry Ross Story; son, Larry Story II (Dotty); daughter, Christy Starnes (Anthony); grandchildren, Cody Starnes, Tyler Starnes, Ashley Starnes, Chance Boodry, and Josie Kile; brothers, Steve Cross and Gary Cross; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral Services will be at 8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, prior to the service.

Graveside Services will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Monte Vista Burial Park.
Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:45 PM.

Grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers.
