Mr. Alvin Leroy Freeman, age 70, passed away on April 28, 2025, at his residence.

Leroy was born in Jonesborough, Tennessee, on June 6, 1954, to the late Jake Alvin and Tilda Story Freeman.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Leroy was a small engine repairman and enjoyed gardening. Leroy was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lynn Freeman, Buford “Red” Freeman, John Freeman, Vestal Freeman, and David Freeman; sister, Helen Bowman.

Survivors include, daughter, Misty Cross; Grandchildren, Megan Maddux, Lauren Maddux, Kristen Lowery; sisters, Margaret Coggins and Velma Ayers; brothers, Carl Freeman (Tanya), Marvin Freeman, and Bobby Freeman (Donna); several nieces and nephews; and his best friend, his dog, Blaze.

Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM, on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor David Montgomery officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, prior to the service.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 2, 2025, at Mountain Home National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbearer is Bill Arnold.
