
Mrs. Diana Ruth Greer, age 70, Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Greer was born September 16, 1954, in Carter County, Tennessee, to the late Bob Greer and Mary Lou Boggs Davenport. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Smith & Liddie Pearl Davenport and a grandson, Aaron.
She attended Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.
Mrs. Greer graduated from Daniel Boone High School in 1972. She worked at Papa John’s Pizza and Finger Hut.
Survivors include five daughters, Amanda Diana Cooper, Angel Lawson, Amy Miller (Sandy), April Elizabeth Lawson and Ashley Lynn Howell (Samuel McCoo); fourteen grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren; brothers, Jim Boggs (Teresa), Wayne Boggs, Billy Boggs (Brandy), and David Kelly (Trish); sisters, Patricia Wladischkin (Pete), Sue Keys, Rosemary Boggs, and Daisy “Dodie” Price (Mark); lifelong friends, Brenda Mullins, Bobbie Sue Trinchera, Randy & Missy Hicks and Will Oliver; and special canine “Bandit” aka, Dog or Boy.
Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
I met Diane when I first moved to Tennessee from Ga at Papa Jones in Gray she always talked about her girls and how proud she was of them rest on Pease my friend

I loved Diana all through high school, and enjoyed being with her at the monthly get togethers with our former classmates when she was able. She was a good woman of character. I have prayed that God will console the family with the promise of meeting again on the other side.
