
Mr. Jack Williams, age 84, of Telford, died February 15, 2025, after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Williams was born July 15, 1940, in Yancey County, NC, to the late Coy & Sudia Katherine Miller Williams.
He retired after working for many years for Magnavox. He also taught electronics at Walter State Community College. Jack proudly served his country in the United States Navy and he was of the Baptist faith.
Jack was preceded in death by his father, Coy Williams and mother, Sudia Miller Williams; son, Dennis Williams; wife, Sandra Jeanine Williams; second wife, Janie Tweed.
He is survived by his son, Gregory Scott Williams of Telford, and his cousin, David Higgins, who was very special to him.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 21, 2025, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Kellen Griffin and Pastor Jackson Ledford officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Friday prior to the service. Graveside services will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Byron Russell, David Shipley, Shannon Morgan, Chris Knight, David Miller, and Ronnie Waldroup. Honorary Pallbearer will be David Higgins.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations be made to Big Laurel Baptist Church, 5805 Big Laurel Road, Marshall, NC, 28753.
The family would like to thank James H. Quillen VA Hospital and Lakebridge Nursing Home in Johnson City, for all the care given to Mr. Williams.

I have lots of sweet memories of Jack. He was a kind and caring person. He would go out of his way to help others, and he always had something funny to say. Jack loved the Lord, and I know I’ll see him again in glory land?
Mr. Williams was great friend. Me and his son Gregory grew up together. And my prayer for peace and comfort
