
Mrs. Tilda Marie Adams, age 97, Jonesborough, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Adams was born in Washington County, Tennessee on June 13, 1927, to the late William Marion & Trula Frances Nelson Foster. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Rhea Adams, grandchild, Jody Anderson, and ten brothers and sisters.
She was a member of Mt. Calvary Church.
Mrs. Adams loved to garden and work in her flowers.
Survivors include her children, Frank A. Adams (Susan), Jonesborough, Frances Phipps, Erwin, Judy Bettis, Johnson City and Shirley Joyner (Ernie), Knoxville; seven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 PM, Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Scalf officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Washington County Memory Gardens.
The pallbearers will be Billy Bettis, Chris Woodruff, Tom Slater, Brad Ayers, Steve Bettis, and Jesse Bettis.
Such a precious lady! Cherished memories with this family as Judy is my dear childhood friend. Judy, Frank, Frances and Shirley, and families, may God bring sweet memories to heal the sadness of this time. Blessings to you always
