It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ms. Deborah Sue Dobson, 63, of Elizabethton, Tennessee, on January 27, 2025. Deborah was born on December 4, 1961, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Rosalie Gayer Strange and Anthony Strange, and was lovingly raised by her mother and stepfather, Travis Rudder Sr.

Debbie was a woman with a heart of gold, loving everyone she met as if they were family. She had a rare gift of making everyone feel welcome and cherished, and her kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Chobrda (Adam) of Cape Coral, FL; grandsons, Nolan and Landon Chobrda; her mother, Rosalie Kay Gayer Rudder; sisters, Theresa Nelson of Johnson City, TN and Shelley Dew of Ft. Myers, FL; sister-in-law, Brenda Rudder of Ft. Myers Beach, FL; as well as nephews and nieces: Michael Nelson (Sharon), Daniel Nelson (Megan), Shanon Nelson (Heather), Christopher Dew (Rachael), Matthew Dew, Lexie Hanley, and their families.

A private service will be held in Florida at a later date to celebrate her life and the love she so freely gave.
