Mr. William Marvin “Billy” Wilson, Jr., age 62, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Franklin Woods Community Hospital surrounded by his children.

Mr. Wilson was born May 26, 1962, in Durham, NC, to Evelyn Evans Wilson, Johnson City and the late William M. Wilson, Sr.

He was a Foreman in the Construction Industry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching Andy Griffith with “My Mary” Burchfield. He was very involved with his sons Boy Scout Troop # 240 and his daughter’s softball teams.

In addition to his mother, survivors include two sons, William Rhett Wilson (Emily), Jonesborough and Fredrick Ashton Wilson (Taylor), Johnson City; daughter, Caroline Elizabeth Wilson, Johnson City; sisters, Sheryl Strouth, Mickie Price, Jackie Parks, and Cindy Miles (Ron) all of Johnson City; girlfriend, Mary Burchfield, Elizabethton; several nephews, nieces, and special great nieces and nephew, Reighla, June and Asher.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Adcock officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday prior to the service.

Our prayers and sympathy to Billy's family! We are saddened at his passing! I worked with Billy in boy scout troop 240 for several years! He was a great friend, man, and mentor to alot of young men! He will be missed by many!
