Rev. Terry Alan Wright, age 63, Johnson City, went home to be with the Lord, on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Lakebridge Healthcare Center.

Rev. Wright was born on January 25, 1961, in Johnson City, Tennessee, to the late Neal & Helen Horn Wright. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Simon Wright and Wesley Wright.

He attended Piney Gove Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his children, Corey Wright (Sara), Brandon Wright (Shellie), Tiffany Shropshire (Derek), all of Newport, and Mason Wright, Jonesborough; sister, Teresa Pierce (Wayne), Murfreesboro; brothers, Charles “Joe” Wright (Betty), Johnson City, Johnny Wright (Nora), Johnson City, and Michael Wright (Kim), Gray; sister-in-law, Janice Wright; grandchildren, Chloe Wright, Alexia Barrett, Noah Wright, Kelci Yates, Tori Wright, Haylie Wright, Kaden Shropshire, and Jaxson Shropshire; great-grandchild, Whitley Rae and coming soon, Wynston Lee.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Anglin officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 PM Thursday prior to the service. Graveside will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Lakebridge Healthcare and Candi Flowers (his niece) for their wonderful care given to Terry.

As you are missing him remember he is always with you, he will stay safely tucked away in your hearts until you are reunited on streets of gold.

We are so sorry for your loss. I loved terry and will never forget him he stood beside me when my dad passed away. I enjoyed hear him preach at Gethemane Baptist church in Newport TN. God bless you all Jerry hall and family
