Frances Bridges Lee, age 97, Johnson City, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Dominion Senior Living.
She was born in Medicine Mound, Texas on June 22, 1927, to the late Claude & Teley Bridges.
Frances loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, her family, and her friends. She came to know her Lord when she was 17 years old and endeavored to follow Him all her life. She was active in churches wherever she lived.
She was also an avid sports fan. She played basketball in high school and followed several sports teams, especially the Miami Dolphins. She also enjoyed watching professional golf on TV.
Frances spent the last five years of her life in assisted living where she made many friends and attended a weekly Bible study supported by Westminster Presbyterian Church.
She is home with the Lord and many friends and family and for this we rejoice. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends but we are not saying “goodbye”, we are saying “see you later”.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee; brother, Claude Owen Bridges.
Survivors include her daughter, Melanie Meaders Hiatt (Phillip); son, John Alexander Meaders; grandchildren, Dr. Johnathan Meaders (wife, Claire), Rachel Ann Meaders, Kelli Meaders Guytan (Husband, John); great grandson, Larson Guytan.

Philip Hiatt (The Son-In-Law :-)
If there was a mother-in-law to be had....Fran was the one. Always loving, supportive, accommodating, great sports hound and encourager. She loved her sports and could evaluate NFL coaches and coaching decisions much better than the talking heads on TV. She especially like the PGA golfers. She heard that Phil Michelson's grandfather had given him a silver dollar as a ball marker and soon after I had a silver dollar ball marker. Just real sweet lady that recorded everything in her calendars. She always asked me how I did in my golf game and what my score was. When reading through some of her entries we found that she recorded all my golf scores.
She will be missed but so happy she is in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus and celebrating her new forever home. I thanks God for such a wonderful mother-in-law and friend !
