Uncle Gene Lockner,
Let me tell you about my uncle. Throughout my life from the time, I was a little boy he was a very special uncle. He always made time to teach me things and tried to show his interest and kindness. Even through hardships, when he and my aunt Lois lost their only son: Lynn. I stayed closer to him through the years after this tragedy.
Gene loved fast car's and taught me a lot about working on them. There were several times we helped each other pull engines out and replace with a new rebuilt engine.
My uncle would help anyone in the family, if he knew they needed help. If he felt that someone was in trouble and needed help financially, he would let them have the money or borrow it, until they could pay it back. I know, because he came to the rescue for me when I was forced to place my mother in a nursing home. It was repaid back to him-he knew it would be, because we helped each other on many things when help was needed. Anytime that I needed to borrow something that Uncle Gene had-he never turned me down. Any time he needed my help, I would always make the time to help him also. This was my uncle Gene; he will be missed dearly. One day we will see each other again my friend/uncle Gene.
