Mr. Charlie David Walters, age 71, of Telford, passed away on September 9, 2024, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
He was born to the late David and Ruby Hughes Walters on January 24, 1953, in Washington County, Tennessee.
Charlie proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1969 to 1973 and worked for Bolton Concrete for over twenty years. He loved to fish and sing karaoke. When their health allowed, Charlie and Brenda loved to travel and go on cruises.
He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Jonesborough.
In addition to his parents Charlie is preceded in death by, brother, Vester Miller; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Walters; brothers-in-law, Gary Kirk and Danny Garrett.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Brenda Walters; sons, Charlie Jr. and wife, Mary, Randy Broyles, David White and wife, Tina; daughters, Patti Broyles “Princess”, Anna Fitzgerald and husband, Ricky; brothers, William Walters and Randy Walters and wife, Barb; sisters, Cleo Kirk and Brenda Garrett; grandchildren, Mirissa Allen (Gary), Brandon Broyles, Brittany Epler, David Epler, Eugene Epler, Miranda Legursky, John Niles, Dana White; great-grandchildren who called him Poppy, Ava and Hudson Legursky.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Monday, September 16, 2024, with Pastor Perry Cleek officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, prior to the service. A Graveside will follow the service at Mt. Bethel Cemetery.

Charlie you took me into your family easily and for that I'll forever be thankful. I'll always miss our biscuit and gravy breakfast on the porch while watching the grass grow.
Worked with Charlie for years at Boltons and always liked him I have seen him a few times after he left and he will be missed
I will see you again someday poppa.

Hey; big brother I love and miss you already but, I know you're in a better, and beautiful place. I will miss all our fishing trips we went on brother always competing to see who could catch the bigger fish lol. Tell Mary I love her and I will see both of you one day.
