Mr. Harold Lynn Barnes, age 93, of Piney Flats, passed away on August 28, 2024, at Bristol Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.
He was born on April 6, 1931, to the late Isaac and Ruth Barnes, in Piney Flats, Tennessee where he was a lifelong resident.
Harold proudly served his country in the United States Marines and then worked a 35-year career for Mead Paper in Kingsport. He was a member and elder at New Bethel Presbyterian Church in Piney Flats.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Dot Barnes; two daughters, Vickie Barnes and Brenda Miller; brothers, Jack Barnes, Bill Barnes, and Don Barnes; sister, Lois Barr.
Harold is survived by his children, Lynn Barnes and his wife Cathy, Ruth Bowman and her husband Dennis, Dean Barnes and his wife Kim; granddaughter, Jennifer Barnes; brother, Dale Barnes.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at New Bethel Presbyterian Church in Piney Flats. A Graveside will be held at New Bethel Cemetery immediately following the service.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
