Mrs. Barbara Jean Bowlin, age 85, Jonesborough, passed away, Friday, July 26, 2024, at Four Oaks Healthcare Center.

Mrs. Bowlin was born January 9, 1939, in New Market, Tennessee, to the late Rufus Paul & Paulee Sellers Bales. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Raymond Bowlin, brothers, Thomas Bales, Herman Bales and L.N. Bales.

She was a member of New Victory Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Susan Constable (Mike) Jonesborough and Scott Bowlin, Johnson City; grandchildren, Jessica Constable, Heather Constable and Abbie Bowlin; brother, Bobby Bales; sister, Inez Gann; and several nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends from 11:30-1:30 PM, Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Washington County Memory Gardens with Dr. Lester Morelock officiating.

The pallbearers will be Mike Constable, Anthony Pleasant, Johnny Richardson, Grayson Rhea, Damien Bennett and Mark Haga. The honorary pallbearers will be Mark Necessary and Eric Ramsey.
