Mr. Michael Tinker, age 70, Jonesborough, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 7, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family.
Mr. Tinker was born August 23, 1953, in Washington County, Tennessee to the late James Harlan Tinker & Louise Elizabeth Garland. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Lynn Tinker, and a sister, Peggy Faye Arnold.
He was in the last graduating class of 1971 from Lamar High School. He retired from the City of Johnson City as a Plant Operator after 30 plus years of service.
Mr. Tinker was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Peggy Ruth Tinker, Jonesborough; son, Robert Charles Tinker (Katie) Telford; daughter, Amanda Faye Tinker (Martin Mannis) Church Hill; son, Johnathan Michael Tinker (Katherine) Jonesborough; five stepson, Austin Hunt (Brandi) Telford; four grandchildren and step grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
Mr. Tinker is to be cremated and the family will have a private family service at a later date.

Went to school with Mike starting in elementary through high school, Sorry to learn of his passing. Prayers for his family.
