Mr. Bobby Sliger, 88, Jonesborough, TN entered his heavenly home on Sunday, June 30,2024 surrounded by his family.
Bobby was the son of the late Charlie and Minnie Gross Sliger.
He was a member of New Victory Methodist Church. He retired from Coca-Cola bottling company.
Bobby was also preceded in death by sisters and brothers Ella Mae Rogers, Mary Ruth Cooper, Francis Bennett Constable, Beatrice Barnes, Chester Sliger, James Sliger, and Junior Sliger.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Louise Keplinger Sliger; his children, daughter Tammy Hartley, son, Calvin Cooper (Judy); his grandchildren Regina Diehl (Steve), Ireana Williams (Mike), Tonya Hartley, his great-grandchildren Makendra and Emily Diehl, Hunter and Henry Williams, Ameeyah Hartley. Also left to cherish Bobby’s memory are his special “adopted children” Chris and Stephanie Taluskie as well as other special neighbors and nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Life Care Center of Gray for their love and care of Bobby.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Friday, July 5, 2024, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 6, 2024, with Pastor Cathy Downs and Pastor Jeremy Dykes officiating. Per Bobby’s request music will be provided by his son, Calvin.
Active Pallbearers will be Steve Diehl, Mike Williams, Chris Taluskie, Cameron Crawford, Tommy Franklin, and Mark Keplinger. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Williams, Bob Keplinger, Bob Skeens, Rick Ledford, Gary Basinger, Jason Kinley and nephews.
We are so glad we got to know Bobby. He was a thoughtful and kind person. Bobby would do anything for you! He will be truly missed by us all! Thoughts and prayers to you Louise and your family. We love you all ! Vernon, Tammy and Cameron Crawford
