Mrs. Marsha “Marty” Peterman Godsey, age 73, of Gray, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at her home.

Marty was born in Watonga, Oklahoma, to the late Leonard and Anna Kimball Peterman.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Godsey.

She graduated from Seiling High School in Oklahoma. After graduation, while attending cosmetology school she met the love of her life. Marty and Bobby moved to Gray, Tennessee and in April of 1991, their life was forever changed for the better when their son, Jonathan, was born. The sun rose and set in her son. Marty had a bubbly personality. She was a full-time homemaker and mother, who loved to read, shop, and cook.

Survivors include her son, Jonathan Godsey; sister, Lynn “Gaye” Whipp; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and their families.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM, Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. A private family burial will be held.
