Danny & Tim, We are very sorry to hear about Mary Emma. She was a very fine neighbor, I have nothing but good memories of her and you all especially when I was in my young teenage years going with her to the Mall to shop and people watch. I meant to visit her for a long time and put it off just a little too long. We will always remember her with her hat and her stick on her walks in the neighborhood, it was and still is full of good neighbors. Please accept our sincere condolences, Nathan and Kathey

My family and the Slonakers were neighbors for many years when we all lived out in the country in the Lamar community. Mary Emma had a beautiful voice and she loved to sing. My grandfather would sit in the front yard under the shade tree and listen to her, for she was constantly singing as she did her work. He would say "that woman sure can sing." She sang at his funeral when he passed away in 1961. Danny and family, my sympathy on her passing . She was a great lady and friend.
