Ms. Shirley Shepherd Perdue, age 70, of Bristol, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Deer Meadows Nursing Home.

Shirley was born in Bristol, on March 11, 1954, to the late Elbert and Ethel Shepherd as one of sixteen children.

She worked many years in healthcare as a Nursing Assistant. Her giving heart was evident in her charitable donations that she made to Wounded Warriors, St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital and many other non-profits. She was a member of Florence Union Chapel Church.

In addition to her parents, Elbert and Ethel, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband and life long partner, Henry “Hank” Ellis, and many siblings.

Shirley is survived by her son, Larry Miller and his wife, Andrea; grandchildren, CJ and Hunter; sisters, Betty, Ellen, Evelyn, and Brenda.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Florence Union Chapel on Old Hickory Tree Road, in Bristol, TN.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
