Mrs. Phyllis Jean Feathers, age 72, from South Central Community, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Feathers was born on April 20, 1952, in Morristown, TN to Velma Beach, DeKalb, Illinois and the late Clarence McKinney. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patience Regina Feathers Braxton.
She was a member of Cherokee Baptist Church.
Mrs. Feathers was a Dog Groomer.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Feathers, Chuckey; son, Payton Feathers (Marcy Eaton) Chuckey; grandchildren, Damien Feathers, Sybil Braxton and Christian Feathers; great-grandchild, Wednesday Feathers; two brothers, Charles Beach (Lisa), Oregon, IL and Tony Beach, Arcadia, FL; half-brothers, Roger McKinney and Roy McKinney, both of Johnson City; half-sisters, Dena McKinney and Tina McKinney, both of Johnson City; sister-in-law, Charlotte Feathers; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Whaley and Mr. Donald Feathers officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday prior to the service.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 31, 2024, at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
