Ronald "Ron" F. Coleman

05/11/2024

Mr. Ronald “Ron” F. Coleman, age 78, of Johnson City, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Franklin Woods Community Hospital.

He was born on February 8, 1946, to the late David and Billie Coleman, in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Ronald proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He owned and operated Coleman Electrical and Service for many years and enjoyed tinkering with electronics, riding his motorcycles and spending time with family. Ronald was a member of the IBEW in his younger years and was well known in the community as the go-to when nobody else could figure it out on anything electrical or electronics related.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by two sisters, Sandra Gayle Ward and Sallee Joe Sentell.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Brenda Coleman; son, Jeffery Coleman (Patricia Roeder); daughter, Deanna Reece (James Reece); grandchildren, Michael Coleman (English), Courtney White (Tomorrow), Daniel Coleman (Makka), Christina Knight (Taj), Andrew Byers (Rebekah); great grandchildren, Evelyn, Owen, Theo, Trenton, Maya and Rylan; several nieces and nephews.

In true “Ron” fashion there will be no services and his wishes were to be a donor to the Anatomical Gift program at East Tennessee State University College of Medicine.
