Lester Cloyd

05/11/2024

Mr. Lester Cloyd, age 63, Telford, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Johnson City Medical Center after a brief illness.

Mr. Cloyd was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, on October 10, 1960, to the late Herbert & Bonnie Oliver Cloyd. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Freddie Cloyd.

Lester farmed his whole life, starting with his father, until his father passed away when he was a teenager. Lester began farming with his cousin, Gary McKee, who taught him everything there is to know about farming. Knowledge that is long forgotten nowadays. He is farming for the Lord now. Lester loved life and lived it his way. He never met a stranger.

Left to love and cherish him forever are his wife, Nina Jean; son, David Bigham; grandson, Lil David Bigham; granddaughter, Emily Bigham; brothers, Terry Lynn Cloyd (Reta) and Donnie Cloyd; sister, Sandi Shelton (Mike Creasy); brother-in-law, Bobby Bigham; very special friends, Ricky Adams, Eddie Ferguson, Tex Garvin and many more; several nephews and nieces; and puppy dog “Sassy”.

Friends can come by Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home from 1:00-4:00 pm Tuesday, May 14, 2024, to sign the register.

Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at New Victory Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Jeremy Dykes officiating.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Bigham, Lil David Bigham, Dylan Carver, Dennis Keplinger, Joe Shell, and Tex Garvin. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary McKee, Ricky Adams and Eddie Ferguson.

Condolences may be sent to the Cloyd family online at www.dillow-taylor.com.
