I am so sorry for your loss of Miss Silvers. I had her for either junior or senior year economics class. I remember she had us make a poster of a successful company and I chose Krispy Kreme. She was a great teacher.

I had the privilege to be Mary's companion / caregiver for the last few years of her life. She was still the sweetest and most kind woman today as she was as a teacher years before. Even when she did not feel her best she always thought of others first. I will always remember when I would take her for a ride in her "Hot rod Lincoln" she would always say, "God made such a beautiful world, why do people have to be so mean"? She treated me as a daughter and I will miss her dearly.

So sorry for your loss. She was such a sweet lady; always smiling and saying kind words to everyone. I remember her at West Hills Baptist church where I attended with my mom years ago; we would always go to her house and sing to her and her dad on several occasional. I too had her as a history teacher at Crockett.

Was taught by this amazing woman at Crockett and provided security for her and the others at school board meetings as Deputy Sheriff. Always helped her up and down steps and to her car at end if no one was going to. She made this world such a better place and I'm thankful for being allowed a part of it. Miss you sweet lady

I never had Ms. Silvers as a teacher but my homeroom (Ms. Beene) in high school was right beside her classroom but it always looked lively and fun. My Mother, Connie did have her as a teacher in 73-74. Sadly, my mother failed the class (with about almost half the class) and my mother would tell me that Ms. Silvers loved all of her students so much, she got emotional having to fail the students that didn't pass the class. She had the biggest heart, the nicest demeanor, and loved everyone unconditionally. What a beautiful life she created for herself and others.

Ms. Silvers was my History teacher in 1975 at David Crockett. I enjoyed her class so much. She was such a a wonderful person. I will never forget in her class, we learned of the term "Technological Unemployment" It was said that one day, machines will take over human jobs. And now look at us today. I will never forget You, Ms. Silvers. You were the best of the best. We will see you soon.
